Chamling convenes party meeting to discuss election 2014

SDF’S FINAL CAMPAIGN MEETING TO HELD IN JORETHANG ON 10 APRIL
GANGTOK, 07 Apr: Sikkim Democratic Front convened a meeting today with regard to the upcoming elections. The meeting, which was chaired by the party president Pawan Chamling, was attended by district presidents, vice-presidents, conveners and vice-conveners of all four districts committees, president and vice-presidents of the constituency level and other office bearers.
An SDF press release informs that during the meeting, the party president spoke about the importance of the coming election and campaigning for the same. He stated that selfish interests would adversely affect the society and encouraged party workers to dedicate themselves to the interests and security of the Sikkimese populace.
Mr. Chamling accused the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha of trying to break the unity of the people and destroy Sikkim. He also invited people from all constituencies to attend the meeting at Jorethang on 10 April and take the message of the party to their respective villages.
SDF has said that the coming elections will decide whether people want to build or destroy Sikkim. The party is campaigning on the basis of its principles, policies, programmes and vision but other parties are trying to mislead people by spreading rumours and fabricating certain issues, the release alleges.
It is informed that during the meeting, 17 persons from Namthang-Rateypani and 2 from Mamring joined the SDF party.
