BJP canvassing continues

GANGTOK, 06 Apr: Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lok Sabha candidate, NB Khatiwada, held a public meeting at the Rangpo football ground, along with the State BJP candidate from the West Pendam (SC) assembly constituency, Amar Lohar.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Khatiwada spoke on the certainty of the BJP forming the next government at the centre and requested the people in Sikkim to vote judiciously for the BJP in the state as well, informs a BJP press release. He also stressed on the core issues of Sikkim like corruption, 20 years of SDF misrule and the need for a better change in Sikkim.
West Pendam candidate, Mr. Lohar, who hails from the family of former legislator, B B Lohar, speaking during the meeting requested the voters to vote for the BJP candidates across the state, to strengthen the hands of the Lok Sabha candidate Mr. Khatiwada.
State BJP candidate from the Singtam-Khamdong assembly constituency, Madan Kumar Sharma today visited both the upper and lower Khamdong areas. Apart from the door-to-door campaign, Mr. Sharma also held a public meeting attended by over 200 people, the release mentions. The voters apprised him of their alleged economic and social exploitation by the ruling SDF government and complained about the lack of water supply in the area. Mr. Sharma also visited the Dochum village area today.
Later at a meeting of the Bihari Sangha in Singtam, about 100 people joined the BJP and pledged their support to Mr. Sharma, it is informed.
Gangtok candidate, NG Dorji today conducted an exclusive meeting, interacting with the members of the business community in Gangtok, it is further added.
