SDF campaign continues in West Pendam

GANGTOK, 07 Apr: Sikkim Democratic Front candidate of West Pendam constituency, KK Thatal, has covered most parts of his constituency during his election campaign. The party’s promise to install a giant statue of goddess Kali at Garhi, Pendam has been widely appreciated and welcomed by the people of the area, informs a press release.
During his campaign, Mr Thatal highlighted the SDF party’s youth encouragement programme with emphasis on employment generation in the area. Public demands for link roads from Fakli and lower Chewribotey, water supply and installation of new transformers where there is frequent disruption of electricity supply by Lower Zitlang public were received positively by Mr Thatal.
He assured the public that the demands would be fulfilled by the next government and added that he has apprised the party president regarding the demands during his visit to Chewribotey and Rangpo, the release mentions.
So far 67 families have joined the Sikkim Democratic Front from the constituency which include families from Upper Zitlang, Lower Zitlang, Rangpo Bazaar and Mining IBM ward No. 2, the release claims.
