NAMCHI, 01 Apr [IPR]: As informed by the Returning Officer South, Prabhakar Verma, 3 Assembly Constituencies of South Sikkim have been declared Expenditure Sensitive namely Poklok Kamrang, Namthang Rateypani and Melli. On the direction of the ECI in addition to the already deployed Flying Squad Teams and Static Surveillance Team (SST) in these three constituencies, one additional flying squad team and one SST have been deputed from today. These teams have also started their operation in the field.
Mr Verma adds that the randomization of EVMs for allocation to the Assembly Constituencies is scheduled to be held on 03 April 2014. The representatives of the recognized political parties and the candidates have been requested to witness the randomization process and after the randomization, the EVMs will be shifted from the warehouse to the Strong Room which is located at Namchi Government Senior Secondary School.
The 2nd level of the randomization of the EVMs as well as the preparation and commissioning of the EVMs will be done at the Strong Room on 04 and 05 April 2014 informed RO. He further informed that the third day of second round training for the Polling Parties concluded today in the Namchi Community Hall.
Mr Verma states that the inspection and reconciliation of the expenditure accounts of the various candidates has been scheduled for third phase on 02, 07 and 11 April 2014 at the office of the Returning Officer South.
