GANGTOK, 27 Sept: Executive members of Sikkim Graduate Teachers' Association [SGTA] met HRDD Minister, NK Pradhan on Thursday. As per a press release, the team was warmly welcomed by the Minister who listened patiently to all the grievances and demands placed by the association.
President SGTA, J. Targain highlighted the prime aims and objectives of the association while general secretary, Suresh K Subba placed an eight-point demand charter. The Minister, after going through the demands, assured to provide all possible support from the government to solve all the problems of graduate teachers soon, the release informs.
He also asked the teachers to undergo refresher or short-term training course provided by the department from time-to-time to enhance their teaching skills. The SGTA team included Meera Chettri [joint secretary], Manoj K Pradhan [treasurer] and executive members, DK Bhandari, Santa Sharma and Manju Tamang.
