Accounts clerks complete 4-week training

GANGTOK, 15 June [IPR]: The four-week long Compulsory Foundation Course training for the 2nd Batch of Account Clerks concluded here at Accounts and Administrative Training Institute (AATI) on Saturday. A total of 51 Account Clerks attended the training session which had commenced on 19 May 2014.
Addressing the valedictory function Controller of Accounts, Finance, Revenue and Expenditure Department, Gopal Basnet expressed his gratitude to Accounts and Administrative Training Institute for effectively managing the Basic Foundation Training programme. He urged the trainees to use valuable inputs imparted during the training period to be diligent, sincere and responsible while discharging duties.
Congratulating the trainees, he extended his best wishes to the newly recruited Account Clerks.
Earlier, Principal Director AATI, Deepak Darnal proposed the welcome address and highlighted on the subjects covered during the entire training period. He informed that the trainees were imparted training on Government Accounting Rules 1990/ practical, Sikkim Financial Rules 1979/practical, Comptroller and Auditor General ( Duties and Powers and  Conditions of Service) Act, Sikkim Public Works Code and Manual 2009, etc.
He also thanked trainees for giving suggestions to add new subjects in coming programmes and lauded their active participation .
These subjects were covered by Resource Persons Deepak Darnal [Pr. Director, AATI], SK Mishra [Sr. Faculty Officer], CC Bhutia [JD FRED], C Pal [Sr. A.O, AG Office], T Shenga and representative from M/S GC Choudhary.
Joint Director FRED, CC Bhutia delivered vote of thanks and also mentioned that the training programme saw active  participation of all the trainees. He further urged them to implement the knowledge gained during the training.
