GANGTOK, 10 Feb: The Alumni Meet of Jawahar Navodaya Viyalaya, Rothak (JNVR), West Sikkim was held on 08 February at JNVR premises. Many of the ex-students were part of this program which was organized under the stewardship of Principal, Shilpa Herald Harry, informs a press release.
The program started with warm reception and welcome song by the students. The ex-students then introduced and shared their experiences and memories associated with the school. This was followed by cultural performances featuring Yoga Dance and Short Music Drama, the release mentions.
During the meet, the senior-most teacher, Kamal Basnett urged the students to learn from their seniors and highlighted the need to form an Interim Committee in order to address the various problems faced by the present students.
The release informs that an Interim Committee was set up under the president, Deepankar Lama [Assistant Director, UD & HD] and all the other members present. The Interim Committee urged all the ex-students to actively participate for the welfare of their Alma Mater.
Earlier, Vice-Principal, Purshottam informed about the various problems being faced by the Vidyalaya and its non-addressal by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
