GANGTOK, 06 Nov [IPR]: Chief Secretary, R. Ongmu convened a meeting today at the Conference Hall of the Secretariat to review the progress of preparations for the visit of the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee from 10 to 11 November 2013.
The President will be in Sikkim to attend the 40th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics & Environment Exhibition to be held from 11 to 16 November, 2013 at Epica Garden, Saramsa, East Sikkim.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary sought detailed status reports from all concerned departments, and instructed the officials to make all necessary arrangements in advance to ensure that everything is in order. While discussing the detailed programme of the President, the Chief Secretary took note of the work in progress and the minute gaps to be addressed immediately.
The meeting was attended by Heads of Departments and officers of the concerned departments.
