Awareness through song & drama on Health & Family Welfare in South Sikkim

GANGTOK, 26 May: Song and Drama Division (Eastern Region), Government of India has added another feather to its cap by expanding its cultural and educative programming campaigns to South Sikkim and its distant remote areas. A public awareness campaign based on Health and Family Welfare through various cultural programmes has been started in South Sikkim under the supervision of BDO Namchi. The initiative has been well-supported by all Panchayats. All of these programmes are being performed by North Calcutta Prayasi, a registered cultural troupe of Song & Drama Division, Eastern region, Government of India. The programmes are being coordinated and performed at various public places such as schools, bus stands, GPUs and marketplaces.
