SSP demands apology from SDF over Lall Bazaar incident

GANGTOK, 25 May: Sikkim Sangram Parishad [SSP] has demanded an apology from the Sikkim Democratic Front leadership for today’s incident at Lall Bazaar and has also called for the arrest of all those named in the FIR lodged by Lall Bazaar traders at Sadar Police Station.
An SSP release informs that the party president, NB Bhandari and senior members of the party met the businessmen and hawkers of Lall Bazaar today. SSP stands firmly behind the hawkers of Lall Bazaar and the business community of Sikkim, the release states.
Terming it “a disturbing trend of the present SDF Govt”, the party has said that such action seeks to create fear psychosis in the minds of the people of Sikkim.

The party has further called upon all Sikkimese to oppose this present oppression against hawkers and business community of Sikkim.
