North farmers pick up orange cultivation tips in Nagpur

DIKCHU, 16 Feb: Thirty-six orange growers from North Sikkim were sponsored to an exposure tour to Krishi Vishant Fair in Nagpur by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mangan. Nagpur is a renowned centre of orange cultivation and the North Sikkim farmers were there from 09 to 15 February gathering advanced technical knowhow on orange cultivation.  
For farmers who could not make it Nagpur, KVK-Mangan put together a live telecast of the Nagpur tour from 10 to 13 February at its office in Mangan.
Around 150 farmers from the different villages attended the live telecast function which was conducted by Project Director, TT Lepcha, and BTMS and VLWs.
