4 Legship-Hingdam GPU families complete houses on schedule under CMRH, receive Rs. 10,000 token appreciation


NAMCHI, 22 Jan: Barfung MLA, Sonam Gyatsho Bhutia, yesterday handed over monetary rewards of Rs. 10,000 each under the Chief Minister’s Rural Housing Scheme to four families for timely construction of their houses under the scheme.
The four houses were inaugurated by the MLA yesterday at Legship-Hingdam GPU of South Sikkim. These houses, constructed under the CMRH scheme with Rs. 3.5 lakh received under CMRH and Rs. 50,000 trough MG-NREGA, were completed within six months, qualifying them for the Rs. 10,000 benefit.
Addressing the inaugural programme, the MLA highlighted that it was the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Pawan Chamling which had brought Sikkim such a visionary scheme as the CMRH which has not been attempted anywhere else in the country. Under this scheme, a total of 74 houses are to be built in Ravangla BAC.
Then programme was also attended DDO South, BDO Ravangla, BDo Sikkip, Zilla Panchayats and panchayats, RMDD JEs, and AEs.
