SSTDS appoints new executive committee


NAMCHI, 28 June: The South Sikkim Tourism Development Society (SSTDS) has reshuffled its executive committee.
The new members are- chief patron, area MLA Binod Rai, chief advisor Chairman Namchi Municipal Council BT Tamang, chief co-ordinator Dr. Bimal Rai, president Chairman Tea Board Gagan Rai, vice- president Chairman Tribal Welfare Board Passang Rinzing Sherpa, general secretary Zilla Upadakshya South Himal Tamang, secretary Rup Narayan Rai, public relation secretary Bal Bir Tamang, publicity secretary Namo Dixit, joint secretary Dawgyal Lepcha and treasurer Sailesh Pradhan.
The Society also acts as an apex body of tourism organisations in the district and is also involved in developing ideas for the tourism promotion. It has 16 constituent members in village tourism societies from in and around Namchi.
