New building added for Katerbotey School


GANGTOK, 29 April: A four-room school building was inaugurated by area MLA Puran Kumar Gurung at Katerbotey, Dalapchand, in East Sikkim yesterday.
The inauguration ceremony was followed by a welcome song by students of the school and presentation of the school report by Headmaster, PD Bhutia, who also requested the government for provision of drinking water, toilet, electricity, fencing, and LPG cylinder for the school, informs a press release.
The school also felicitated the land donor, Harka Man Rai, on the occasion.
Traditional dances were performed by Katarbotey Primary School, Dalapchand SS, Chandaney PS, Lower Dalapchand, Aritar, Changeylakha, Thongsung PS and devotional song by Bal Vikas students of Katarbotey, the release adds.

The programme was addressed by chief guest MLA Gurung, special guest, Zilla Adhyakshya East, Bimal Dawari, and Member of School Management Committee, Hemu Pradhan. Also present at the programme were BDO Regu, Dhiraj Pradhan, SDPO Rongli, CC Bhutia, Deputy Director ICDS Rongli, Narendra Chettri, PI Rhenock Police Station, Bishal Rai, AE Power, Ajeet Pradhan, ACF, P Pradhan, Rongli HRDD(BAC) officials, Headmasters of different local schools, guardians, members of School Management Committee, teachers, students and the local public.
