NAMCHI, 17 Nov: As part of the Children’s Day celebration, Axis Bank’s Namchi branch conducted a sit-and-paint competition for students aged between 05 to 12 years on 15 November here at the bank itself. The theme for the painting competition was ‘Go Green, My Dream World’ and ‘The Festivals of India’.
94 students from five schools of Namchi and Jorethang took part in the competition. Among them were St. Francis School, Jorethang, Tendong Educational Institute, New Light Academy, Namchi Public School and Tinzir Primary School. The competition was conducted, supervised and judged by the Branch Manager and the staff of Axis Bank, Namchi Branch.
Reepal Rai of Tendong Educational Institute was adjudged the winner of the competition while Shristika Rai of Namchi Public School won the second prize. Sujata Limboo of NPS secured the third position.
The painting by Binisha Rai of Tinzir Primary School was given the award of Special Recognition. The winners were awarded with gift hampers.
