Annual Fest at St. Mary’s School Kitam


NAMCHI, 12 Dec: St. Mary’s School at Kitam celebrated its Annual Festival in grand manner on Sunday. The programme was chaired by Melli MLA, Tulsi Devi Rai, as chief guest accompanied by Bidhan Rai, Panchayat member of Mickhola Kitam GPU as guest of honour, inform a press communiqué received from the principal, Suresh K Subba.

The MLA congratulated the school on hosting this special event and lauded the quality of education being imparted at the school. She also delved on the various schemes and measures undertaken by the State Government towards ensuring quality education in Sikkim schools.
The Guest of Honour, in turn, spoke on the Right to Education Act, while KN Pradhan, president, Munal Club of Kitam, favourably addressed the performance of the School and credited the Principal for his efforts here.
In the second session of the programme, various sports competitions, including fun games for guests, were held. The students also presented a skit and performed a folk dance. The School raffle was also drawn by Chief Guest yesterday.
The School also organised a musical special, “Melodious Evening”, for later in the day to promote local artists. More than ten local artists performed at this competitive performance which was won by Pranisha Rai, followed by Bidroy Subba as runner-up.
