Hamro Varta editor threatened

GANGTOK, 21 Mar: Chief Editor of Hamro Varta, a Nepali daily, DB Chauhan, was reportedly threatened with a sharp weapon by three persons last evening while he was on his way to Yuksom in West Sikkim.
As per a press release received from the publication, three persons accosted Mr. Chauhan at Labing, 10 kilometers from Yuksom and threatened him with an axe.

He reportedly informed the sector magistrate deployed in the area following which a police team arrived at the spot and rescued Mr Chauhan who was then escorted to his residence. He then lodged a complaint at Gerethang Police Outpost this morning following which police have arrested the three accused and the case is under investigation.
