GANGTOK, 22 Dec [IPR]: Chief Minister Pawan Chamling and Mrs. Tika Maya Chamling have expressed deep anguish over the demise of Dr. Kumar Pradhan, an eminent journalist, an intellectual of high repute and a social reformer. Dr. Pradhan, former Editor of Sunchari, passed away in New Delhi on 20 December.
In his condolence message, Chief Minister Mr Chamling has said that the passing away of Dr Pradhan is a huge loss to the nation and the Indian-Nepali speaking society in particular. He expressed the need for today’s generation to take inspiration from the illustrious life of the litterateur. Mr Chamling called on the Nepali-speaking people to take pride in the legacy left behind by Dr Pradhan.
The Chief Minister has wished strength and resilience to the family members in their hour of grief.
