GANGTOK: A meeting of the “Dr. Shova Kanti Thegim (Lepcha) Memorial Trust” was convened on 11 March at the Trust’s office in PNG Road to discuss and initiate the process for the Dr. Shova Kanti Thegim (Lepcha) Memorial award-2011.
The meeting decided to consider only novels, stories/ collection of short stories, poetry, criticism and plays in Nepali Language written/ authored by writers from Sikkim (including permanent residents) and published between 2007-09, the release informs.
In order to give equal opportunity to all the participants, it was decided that even entries of single books will be accepted by the Trust for consideration of the award. Also, books already available with the Trust and published in the eligible period will be considered automatically for assessment.
The trust has requested all intending participants to send in 4 copies of their books on or before 10 April 2011, the release informs.
