GANGTOK, 13 Mar: A meeting of the Gorkhaland Task Force under the chairmanship of Rev Dr Anosh Das Pradhan was convened at Vasant Kunj in New Delhi today. The meeting deliberated on the GTF tour to different states and achievements of the team.
A Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh press release informs that the meeting has decided to hold a dharna at New Delhi on 18 March and to meet the Ministers and MPs. The meeting further decided that GTF would continue its movement for the Gorkhaland statehood. A separate state is the only solution for the national identity and political safeguard of Gorkha community, the release further states.
