Mangan enrolls for CATCH


MANGAN, 24 March: A special programme for enrolment of beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Annual and Total Check-up for Healthy Sikkim (CATCH) was held at Mangan District hospital from 22 to 24 March for the public of Mangan Nagar Panchayat.

The CMO (N), Dr. IL Sharma, informed that the objective of this programme was to provide annual health check-ups to all Sikkimese through proper screening. Specialist health camps will also be organized for timely detection of disease in the future, he said.
The individuals enrolled with CATCH shared some of the problems faced in the hospital like frequent power cuts, lack of a generator and mismanagement of programme.
The session was attended by 215 beneficiaries for CATCH enrollment, and was coordinated by MNP Councilors, KJ Bhutia, PK Malu, Zangmoo Bhutia, ND Lepcha and CD Lepcha.
