NSS cadets complete Winter Adventure Camp at Chemchey



NAMCHI, 14 Feb: The 7th Winter Adventure Camp for National Social Service cadets of Madhya Pradesh concluded here at the Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure and Eco-Tourism (IHCAET) at Chemchey near Namchi in South Sikkim yesterday.
This camp, taken by 22 NSS cadets, was sponsored by the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs.

Addressing the concluding day’s events, Director IHCAET, GT Bhutia, informed that the present batch was among the best trained at IHCAET thus far and congratulated the participants on their eagerness to test their mettle in adventure sports. He expressed hope that the cadets would retain their fighting spirit throughout their lives.
The students were awarded trophies, prizes and certificate yesterday with Nidi Kemat conferred the best participant award among the girls and Bhagwan Das Patiel adjudged the best boy participant.
The concluding day’s programme was also attended by Programme Officers Neeraj Kumar Jain and Kadambini Mishra from Madhya Pradesh, OSD, IHCAET, Kazi Sherpa, instructors Shanti Rai, Sangay Wangmu Bhutia, Anand Gurung, Mohan Bishwakarma and Wangdi Lama.
