Light vehicles cannot cross over this stretch without the commuters themselves lending a hand in pushing the vehicles as a portion of the road has been damaged. It is difficult to comprehend the BRO’s inability to repair such a short stretch of road which is not even 10 feet long.
Commuters here are very disappointed with BRO’s negligence since it would not take even a whole day’s work to mend this stretch. “How can one expect good road conditions in monsoon when we have to face such difficulties even during the dry winter season?” commented one of the commuters from North Sikkim while speaking to NOW!
