Proficiency Development Training for Graduate Teachers


GANGTOK, 03 Jan: A 30-day ‘Proficiency Development Training’ is being organized by the HRDD for Graduate Teachers. The main focus of this training is based on the strategies of transferring the various components of the subject matter to the children so that it will be easier for the students to comprehend each component in the best possible manner, informs a press release.

The training programme is taken up in three phases. The first phase from 03 to 12 Jan will focus on the teaching of English, the second phase from 16 to 25 Jan will focus on the teaching of General Science and the third phase from 31 Jan to 09 Feb will be on the teaching of Mathematics, the release informs.
The programme is organized by the SCERT, HRDD and is financed by SSA. For better participation, this programme is being organized at the District Level. In West, Soreng Sr Sec School is the venue of the programme for the Graduate teachers of the schools of West District.
The Course Director of the programme is Dy.Director SCERT, Gangtok, Sabita Subba and the Resource Persons are from SCERT, District Center for English Language Teaching and the senior PGTs from the Sr.Sec.Schools, the release further mentions.
