Official team inspects rainwater harvesting and other project sites in Sumbuk


SUMBUK, 05 Jan: An official team led by Additional District Collector (Development) South, Deepak Kumar Pradhan, visited the construction site of Rolu-Khani Khola rainwater harvesting for ground water recharge from Tamley Taar to Tarey Bhir covering 100 hectares where the intervention was completed for the ground water recharge through MGNREGA at Lungchok- Kamarey, Turuk-Ramabung and Turuk-Ramabung Gram Panchayat Units under Sumbuk BAC.

The team comprising of Block Development Officer Sumbuk BAC, Dinesh Pradhan, Assistant Engineer BAC, Sumbuk, Sandeep Khatiwada, Under Secretary RM&DD, Bandana Pradhan, Panchayat Member of Mungram, DP Manger, Purna Kr. Pradhan, Rajen Gurung, and President of Lungchok JFMC, Passang Temba Sherpa visited Tamley Lake, a dried up lake at the hill top and interacted with the villagers in order to take the right steps to rejuvenate the lake. The team then visited the site of Rolu- Khani Khola rainwater harvesting for ground water recharge from Mungram ward to Tareybhir through the Dhara Vikash project.
Today, the ADC (Development) and team visited three sites of the Chief Minister’s Rural Housing scheme at Mungram and interacted with the beneficiaries and urged the beneficiaries not to compromise in the quality of the work and requested them to provide all kinds of assistance to the workers and contractors for quality work.
The ADC expressed his satisfaction over the progress and quality of work and along with the team also visited the under construction Rajiv Gandhi Sewa Kendra at 22- Mellidara- Payoung GPU and inspected the under construction CMRH houses at various places of Mellidara- Payoung GPU.
