GANGTOK, 09 Sept: Martam Charitable Youths Association, East Sikkim has appealed the people of Sikkim to extend financial assistance to six-year-old Ugen Bhutia, who has been diagnosed with a kidney complication and is currently undergoing treatment at STNM Hospital.
Ugen, the son of a Martam-resident, Passang Bhutia, has been advised to seek treatment at AIIMS. The father, however, earns his living doing odd-jobs offering manual labour and cannot afford to take his son for treatment to Delhi.
