SDF draws up Mangan’s wish-list for CM

MANGAN, 11 June: The North district wing of the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front convened a meeting at the party office here today to sort out the various developmental demands to be taken up with the Chief Minister during his upcoming visit to North Sikkim scheduled for the first week of July.
The meeting was chaired by Zilla Adhyaksha (N), Khamsoom Lepcha, coordinated by SDF North president NT Lepcha, general secretary Chumki Saring, MNP Councilors, Panchayats, Zilla members and CEC members.
The meeting resolved that the general public of the district wished that the Chief Minister personally visit the Mangan District Hospital and see the problem faced due to shortage of equipment, doctors and medicines and other amenities there.

The list of demands includes a shorter route from Mangan to Gangtok, alternative highway road from Mangan to Chungthang, sanction of a Girls Secondary School in the district, a sewage system for Mangan, sanction of Mangan bazaar beautification fund, District garbage management plant, several major jhora training, LPG distribution centre, approach road from Mangan shopping complex to Pentok DAC road, alternative road link from Chanday village via Lower Singhik to Kazor highway road and early up gradation work procedure of Mangan Public ground.
On the occasion, Topden Lepcha of the Congress party joined SDF.
