All New Kindle

Amazon has introduced the latest version of its Kindle e-book reader at Rs 5,999. Consumers can pre order at amazon.in but the product will start shipping only from 09 October 2014.
The upgraded version of the e-reader promises -
Touchscreen display that reads like real paper, no screen glare, even in bright sunlight
Exclusive Kindle features now includes Goodreads integration, Kindle FreeTime, Vocabulary Builder, Word Wise (coming soon), and more
Double the on-device storage — holds thousands of books
Page turns fly with a 20% faster processor
Lighter than a paperback, fits in your pocket
Battery lasts weeks, not hours
The new Kindle still misses the built-in light which its costlier models like Kindle Paperwhite [Rs 10,999] and Kindle Paperwhite 3G [Rs 13,999] do. The screen resolution is also a tad lower at 167 ppi compared to Paperwhite versions [212 ppi]. What does work for the new Kindle is its pricing and weight [at 191 grams it is the lightest of the three]. Also, most of the other features are similar to the higher end models like battery, storage [4 GB], touchscreen display, etc.
