GANGTOK, 08 May: A cleanliness drive was carried out today at Chakung bazaar under Soreng-Chakung constituency in West Sikkim by the Block Development Office. The drive was participated in by members of different non-governmental organizations, panchayat members led by panchayat president, DP Mukhia, officials and staff of different departments, Chakung Senior Secondary School and local residents. An official press release informs that more than 200 people participated in the cleanliness drive. It is informed that during the drive garbage were collected and beautification works carried out in the bazaar area. The drive was conducted under the supervision of BDO, PK Subba.
