One booked for theft


GANGTOK, 29 June: A case of theft and house trespass has been registered against one person at the Jorethang Police Station on 28 June.
According to a complaint filed by Munna Prasad Singh of SEW Company, on 26 June two mobile phones [one Blackberry and one Spice] were stolen from his room at Jorethang. On investigation, it was found that the Blackberry handset [using SIM 97492-65765] is being used by one Sajal Saha of 23 Saratchand Road, Siliguri against whom the case has been registered.
A case under section 448/380 [punishment for house-trespass and theft in a dwelling house] of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused at the Jorethang Police Station and the case is under investigation.
