GANGTOK,
15 June: Two persons were arrested by the Sadar
Police Station on 14 June when they were found to be in possession of
contraband substances and were allegedly peddling it.
On 14 June at around 4 PM the Sadar police
received information from IC Beat II, HC Ugen Lepcha that he had intercepted
two individuals Subin Tamang and Sanjay Pradhan at Nam Nang, Hurhuray Dara. As
per source information these two individuals are regular peddlers of contraband
substances in the locality and were in possession of the said substances and
were peddling the same in the said location.
During investigation, the two were searched
which led to the recovery of 424 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon from the black
coloured back pack of Sanjay Pradhan and 92 tablets of Nitrosun-10 from a
carrybag of Subin Tamang.
The accused Sanjay Pradhan [19], belonging
to Namchi, South Sikkim at present staying at Dechiling, Gangtok and Subin
Tamang [26], a resident of Lingbong basti, Kalimpong, West Bengal at present
staying at Chandmari, Gangtok have been arrested. They have been booked under
section 9/14 of SADA.
