GANGTOK, 04 Nov: Two Unnatural Death [UD] cases have been reported to have taken place in the state, one from Jorethang PS and the other from Singtam PS.
An 18-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging on 03 November. He had gone missing from his house on 02 November at around 11 p.m. and committed suicide the next day at around 7 a.m.
In another incident, a 45-year-old man, a resident of 10th Mile, Makha is suspected to have committed suicide by jumping into the river.
The deceased had gone missing since the morning of 29 October from Youn Busty in Makha, East Sikkim. His clothes were found at the bank of River Teesta, below the busty by some school children, the same evening. Following a search, his body was recovered today at 1 p.m. at Rangtu near Manglay Bridge by his relatives.
