GANGTOK, 17 May: Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee has
welcomed the people’s mandate in the 9th Sikkim Assembly and 16th
Lok Sabha elections. On the successful and peaceful completion of the counting
process, the party has thanked Election officials, administration and police.
An SPCC press release issued by its spokesperson, Tara
Shrestha has thanked people for their support to the party. The party has
congratulated the SDF government on its fifth straight term in government and
urged the ruling party to respect the mandate of the people and work for the
welfare of all Sikkimese. SPCC has also congratulated Sikkim Krantikari Morcha
and its president for winning 10 seats and further urged them to deliver the
role of the opposition sincerely.
