GANGTOK, 19 May: Chief Secretary R Ongmu resumed office today
after a more than month-long leave through the elections.
Ms Ongmu had gone on medical leave on 05 March and AK
Shrivastava had taken charge as the Chief Secretary of the state for the period
that she was away. She will remain as Chief Secretary for another six months till
her retirement.
Ms Ongmu is the first woman Chief Secretary of Sikkim. She is
from the 1978 Sikkim cadre of IAS
officers.
