GANGTOK, 25 June [IPR]: Chief Minister Pawan Chamling
planted a Rhododendron Arborium (Gurash) sapling at the Raj Bhawan complex on
Wednesday morning as part of the sixth successive State level observance of the
“Ten Minutes to Earth” programme. A ceremonial plantation programe was also
undertaken in which Minister for Forest Environment and Wildlife Management
Department (FE&WMD) Tshering Wangdi Lepcha and other Ministers along with
the MLAs planted Rhododendron saplings. A total of 500 saplings were planted in
the complex with the participation of Chief Secretary, Additional Chief
Secretary, Secretary FE&WMD, other Secretaries, HoDs, and officers from
various departments.
