GANGTOK, 23 Mar: Students of Phodong Senior Secondary
School, North Sikkim, have expressed their dissatisfaction over the delay in
the repair of damages sustained by the school building in the windstorm of 14
December last year.
It is informed that the school authorities had appealed to
the concerned department in
January earlier this year for the restoration of the school
building roof, but no action has been taken so far. Due to the roof being
damaged water enters the class rooms when it rains causing much inconvenience
to the students.
The students have again appealed to the concerned department
to initiate repair work at the earliest.
