GANGTOK, 25 Sept: The Sikkim Sub-ordinate Accounts Service Association has resolved to hold elections for the new executive committee on 27 October. This was decided in a meeting held today informs a press release.
The association has also urged all the members of the East district to participate in the election process for the East District Committee and also witness the formation of the new Central Executive Committee by elected members of the four district committees.
The release further informs that the meeting also emphasized on the necessary activities and responsibilities of the association so that the new office bearers can place the association’s demands and grievances before the state government in time.
The meeting also deliberated on different issues and has urged the state government to fill the vacant posts of Accounts Officer by promoting the Sr. Accountants. The association has also urged the government to give weightage of past service to sit for the departmental competitive examination and enhancement of grade pay of Accountants.
