MANGAN, 24 July: Several villages at Lower Rakdong like Kazitar, Tamsay and 12th Mile located at the border between East and North districts have been without electricity for the last 10 days owing to the disruption of the power supply line in North Sikkim.
Restoration work is in progress but slow, with the villagers themselves engaged in the work along with the linesman.
This is not the first time that these villages have suffered such power cuts with the supply being irregular for the past many months.
