GANGTOK, 12 Jan: Artist Dhiraj Pradhan represented Sikkim in an international art camp held in Guwahati, Assam recently.
A press release informs that Kala Samannayaa 2014, the international art camp cum festival was organized by the Aesthetic Guwahati Organisation from 03-08 January in Shilp Gram, Guwahati.
“It was a great experience as it was my first international art camp. We learnt about installation and 3D art. We were also created public art on the streets which was well appreciated,” said Mr Pradhan speaking about his experience.
He hopes that his participation will open doors to other local artists to participate in international art camps.
Altogether 38 artists from Sikkim, New Delhi, Gujarat, West Bengal, Hyderabad, Odisha, Bangalore, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, London, Serbia, Slovakia, Thailand and Bangladesh participated in the camp. These artists were selected from around 20,000 entries to participate in the camp.
