GANGTOK, 12 Apr: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha president PS Tamang [Golay], on behalf of his party, has congratulated voters of Sikkim for turning out in large numbers to exercise their franchise and reinforce democracy in the state. He has also thanked election officials, government officials, police, officials from outside deputed in Sikkim and everyone involved in the election process.
In a press release issued this evening, Mr. Tamang has further thanked SKM workers engaged in the party’s election campaign across the state for the election. “Voting is our birth right and people should vote for the government they want,” he adds.
The SKM president has said that security personnel should remain on their jobs tirelessly to provide security to the votes cast by the people till the counting date and also urged party workers to stay vigilant in this process.
