Two arrested for stealing construction rods

GANGTOK, 19 Aug: Two persons have been arrested for stealing iron rods from a construction site at Jorethang Road, Namchi today. As per the FIR, the complainant was informed by a driver that two persons were loading iron rods from the construction site of the complainant at Jorethang Road. Following this, the complainant went to the site immediately and saw the two persons loading iron rods in a vehicle. The accused, Subash Sewa and Dhiraj Phuyal, were arrested by the police and eight iron rods [10mm] were recovered from their possession. A case u/s 379 IPC has been registered against the two.
