GANGTOK, 20 Jan [IPR]: The Chairperson and members of the 14th
Finance Commission arrived today in the Capital. They were accorded a warm
welcome by Chief Secretary R. Ongmu at Rangpo. On their arrival in Gangtok, the
State guests were welcomed by Mayor GMC KN Topgay, Principal Secretary Finance
MG Kiran and host of senior Government officers amidst the traditional sound of
Sikkim Police Band. The Chairman and Members of the Commission also took time
off to visit the walking plaza at M.G. Road.
