GANGTOK, 04 Oct [IPR]: Chief Minister Pawan Chamling today inaugurated the newly built ‘Super Speciality Wing’ of Central Referral Hospital or Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS) here at 5th Mile Tadong.
The state-of-the-art super speciality wing which has been set up at an estimated cost of Rs 37.67 crore has Diagnostics which include Radiology, MRI, Digital X-Ray, Cardiac Cath Lab, Ultrasonography, color dopper. The Super speciality departments will have Neuro Surgery, Urology, Gastroenterology, Skin and Cosmetology, Cardiology, Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery, Onco Surgery, and private wards.
In a function organized in the auditorium of SMIMS, Pro Chancellor of Manipal, Dr. Ram Das Pai felicitated the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling and presented him with a memento as a mark of respect, appreciation and gratitude.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chamling, expressed his happiness that such a super speciality wing has come up in CRH and expressed hope that the hospital will provide quality service and people of the state will benefit from it.
