Kudos to the Sikkim Traffic Police for introducing Electronic Traffic Signal System and inaugurating its operation at the Hospital Traffic Point of Gangtok which in fact, is going to be the first of its kind in any of the Himalayan towns like ours witnessing tremendous growth of traffic congestion of late.
This adoption, it is expected would definitely go a very long way in smooth traffic management in our beautiful Gangtok Town. Though, there might be some problems in adopting this system initially for us, however, once familiar with all its pros and cons, a more systemized and smooth traffic flow is sure to be witnessed in this capital city which ultimately would ease our lives.
I therefore sincerely request all the members of civil society from all walks of life to cooperate with the traffic managers as well as to make themselves familiar with the new system for our own convenience so that, in the days to come, other towns of Sikkim are also equipped with similar amenity.
Such concepts and incorporations on the part of all the concerned authorities would, at the same time greatly help in enabling the authorities in making all our civic amenities and system more public oriented and convenient, a reflection of complete efficiency and administrative perfection.
