GANGTOK, 09 Nov: The managing committee of the Agriculture Technology and Management Agency, FS&ADD East District conducted a meeting on 08 November.
The meeting was chaired by Director SAMETI. The welcome address was delivered by M.K Pradhan (Project Director, East) while Asha Lama ( Dy Director, ATMA, East) highlighted the works underway at ATMA Project.
Several issues were discussed and it is informed that these included agenda items on varieties of mustard seeds, nutrient content of local soyabeans and control measures for the whitening of cardamom seeds and that of red ants.
The meeting also discussed on the management of broiler production during winters along with that of bacterial wilt of ginger and on now to popularize the practice of poultry farming.
Other members present at the meeting included subject matter specialist KVK, Dr D.P Pradhan (AH&LHVS), P.L Basnet (Dy. Director Horticulture, Pakyong), Sherab Bhutia (Dy Director Horticulture East), D.B. Rai (Dy. Director, Fisheries).
