GANGTOK, 08 Nov: Lanco Foundation organised a free screening camp for differently-abled persons at Panchayat Bhawan, Namthang in South Sikkim.
Physiotherapists, Radha Krishan and Ram Babu from Vijaywada screened patients and selected 58 physically disabled to be provided with several types of apparatus.
Ten patients were selected who were to be provided with wheel chairs, 40 patients with stick, 4 callipers and 4 crutches. Lanco Foundation has decided to provide such types of apparatus to the beneficiaries free of cost. [from SANJAY AGARWAL]
