GANGTOK, 14 Nov: Shanti Hawan [Bhagwad Path and Jenshey] was organized by Tumin Lingee Youth Association [TLYA] in collaboration with panchayats, general public and devotees of Tumin Lingee constituency at Rakshey 4th Mile in Upper Rakdong ,East Sikkim on 11 and 12 November.
A press release issued by TLYA mentions that the aim of the puja is to pay homage to all departed souls till date and for universal peace. The puja was also attended by Chief Whip to the Government of Sikkim, Ugen Gyatso Bhutia, who is also the area MLA, and various dignitaries of the constituency and devotees.
TLYA president expressed his gratitude to everyone for making the puja successful. The total contribution collection in the puja was Rs.79,224 and the total expenditure was Rs.75,200, the release informs.
