GANGTOK, 11 Nov: Namok Junior High School also observed the National Education Day with various activities and a rally today. On the occasion, a rally was taken out from the school premises to Swayem, which was participated by students, teachers, panchayats, SMC members and local public.
The programme had Zilla panchayat member, Karma Golay Bhutia as the chief guest, who encouraged the gathering to understand the importance of education and send every child to school regularly.
Earlier, the programme started with the messages of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister read out by the Headmaster, VR Nair. The programme was also addressed by teacher, AK Singh.
A press release issued by the school informed that quiz, play, dances and other activities were also performed on the Right to Education Act to create awareness among the public.
