GANGTOK, 14 Nov: St. Joseph’s School, Kingston, Rhenock, East Sikkim celebrated Children’s Day with the finals of the inter-school Maggi Premier Cup Football tournament which was sponsored by Nestle India Ltd, informs a press release.
The final match was played between Govt. Sec. School, Sudunglakha and Govt. Sec. School, Tarpin, which was won by the latter with a score of 2-0.
Present as the chief guest on the occasion was Chujachen MLA, Puran Gurung. Traditional lighting of lamp and offering khadas to the portrait of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru by the chief guest, principal and other dignitaries was also done during the programme along with cultural dances by students, the release informs.
