GANGTOK, 14 Sept: Students from schools across the state worked their art with colours and brushes in the State Level painting competition on Energy Conservation organised by the Teesta-V Power Station, NHPC Limited, here at Janta Bhawan today.
Tulsi Kekai Doli of Tadong Senior Secondary School stood first followed by Ugen Tashi Bhutia of Kanchenjung Academy on second place and Tshering Wangchuk of Tibetan Central School, Ravangla on third place.
Now these top three painters in the state-level will be take part in the national-level competition scheduled to be held in December.
Teesta-V Power Station, NHPC Limited has been the nodal agency for Sikkim for conducting the painting competition on Energy Conservation since 2005. It was informed that a total of 1,809 students from 31 schools had participatd in the competition with 43 being shortlisted for the final event today.
